Baxter does the same thing. The only thing that I have come up with that satisifyes his chewing need is a hymalian dog bone. It is natural, and so hard that he chews for hours on it. After he is finished with that he plays with toys without destroying them. I have bought the super large dog bone, and they last him for several weeks. It is wonderful. They are expensive though around $9 plus shipping. But it has saved on the toy expense, and furniture also lol. I cannot get over how they have this obsessive chewing nature. You can find them online, which is how I get them as there is only one store in the state of Maine that sells them. And if I am around that area I'll pick some up there too.
