Certified addict here. I had the original Sims and all the expansions. Got Sims 2 the day it came out. Sold all my originals because they didn't compare. Have every single expansion pack on 2 as well, always get them the day they come out. Already pre-ordered Sims 3. I have 2 computers now thank goodness (yay Christmas), so Sims 2 staying on the desktop, Sims 3 going on the laptop. I pre-ordered the special edition.

Oh and, I've played all the Sims games on PS2, Wii, DS, etc. plus MySims. None of them even come close to comparing with the PC version. It's a world all its own. There are no "goals" per se like the game console versions, so it's just free will and alot more options, add ons, etc.

When I play I'm in another world, been known to do it straight for 2 days (well used to in college anyways). Now I try to limit it to once a week or so...but when I do it it's for at least 8-12 hours at a time. I'm a true blue fan, been there since the beginning. On the little trivia game during the load screen on Sims 2 I know all the answers. Sad, isn't it?

You are sooo cool! lol. My family laughs at me for playing the Sims but still buy the games for me. I have played the sims2 on ds and PlayStation 2 but as you said it does not compare to the PC version noooo way lol. I also sold all my sim 1 games as soon as 2 came out. Sims 2 was a huge and awesome change from sims 1 i love it. I ave been checking and posting on the sims2 forum the bbs everyday I just can't wait. Also I have been trying to find a lap top or desktop that will play the game because I don't think my lap top or desktop will. My laptop is a 2006 and my computer is 2002 so yeah time for me to start saving for a new but I still preordered the collector's edition. I hope the prima guide will come with it because it says hints and tips guide. Some people on the bbs have said TS3 graphics don't look to good but I love it. I can finally make a sim who looks like me lol. I hope one of the eps with this game will be Pets! Wow I am so happy I found someone that can relate to my addiction lol.
