No,I really don't think that not brushing her before the bath would cause split ends.I always brush Beatrice before I bath her ,and when she has the conditioner in her hair I comb it through.When she's completely rinsed I towel dry her and spray on some leave-on conditioner and some coat oil.It literally combs through tangle free. I've noticed some split ends on her coat too.I think it's just wear and tear,she's 15 months old now and I've been letting her hair just grow.I figure by the summer it will touch the ground.
