Another question she's been free to run around the house, I just got new leather furniture, should I allow her to run as she has or should I place her and her stuff in the kitchen with a gate to the living room until she learns not to chew on the furniture?? I feel bad leaving her all day in a crate...please help!!

Yes, a good rule of thumb is to take their weight at 12 weeks and double. Some pups just bite, when she bites hard, refuse to play with her, and have hubby throw one of her toys, let her know what is okay and what is not okay to chew on. I had new leather furniture and 3 small pups, my leather sectional is ruined, it doesn't matter, it was my fault for letting them roam when I was outside mowing the yard. I don't believe in crates, but, if your'e going to be gone, or you work, try an xpen. This way they have room to play, you can put a pee pad, bed, water, food and toys in there for her.
