The reason tubing is so dangerous is if the tube is not place correctly and the milk goes into the lungs it can be fatal very quidkly. In 20 years I only ever had one I had to tube for the first week. Even though I'm a nurse I was scared the whole time I had to do it and was soooo relived to start using the bottle when he would take it. Like the above poster said try honey or karo on the nipple and he should nurse from it. There are so many nipples out there to try. I used the long thin ones that were almost like moms teats. |
