My household is very international and we think in terms of global trends rather than just US or New England. It was on a trip to Crufts that I decided to discontinue tail docking. It was only at the show itself that I saw docked tails, the final year it was being allowed. On the street I saw not one Yorkies with a docked tail, and it's such a lovely tail I'm still confused as to why anyone ever wanted to cut it off.
Thanks for clarifying! I was hoping you didnt mean we were uncivilized around here! I also would not buy a Yorkie without a docked tail unless it had the bloodlines, bells and whistles I was looking for in my breeding program. I just dont care for tails on Yorkies. I can see the point of the potential buyer in not wanting a tail either. I guess its all in what you get used to.
