It is a pigment thing. I knew a large dog (border collie mix) that had a pink nose when he was born. It was cute, and never had any problems with it until he got older. By the time he was 8 years old, his nose was so sensitive that if he bumped it too hard, it would bleed. It always looked "raw". The vet said it was just a pigment thing and said to try and keep him from bumping it and re-opening the wounds.
