This is excellent advice and the thermometer advise often works as well for the constipation. I have even used 1/2 of a baby suppository. A 5 week old pup doens't need to be bottle fed but you must be vigilant with keeping him fed puppy milk and maybe a gruel made with the milk and ground puppy food for a little while. If the former owner just took him away from the mother and he has never begun weaning you will need to work with him closely. I had to wean 3 week old pups when the mother stopped producing milk and they were able the drink from a jar lid although it was very messy.Good luck with your puppy
