Unhappy Chicken Soup bad?

Gizmo znd Bubba have continued to have stomach issues off and on. So I thought maybe it could be their food...I know, I'm slow like that. Gizmo got to where all he would eat was Bubba's puppy kibble(he is 6 yrs), so I just let him eat it. Bubba just turned 1yr.

I wrote to the Chicken Soup people and got a response yesterday..see what you think. I did not know puppy food had more fat and that's exactly what Gizmo is supposed to stay away from. He has finished the last of his prescription food and I have to find SOMETHING else for them to eat. Do I just start out with something new all together or mix something new with the chicken soup for a while..anyway this is the letter they sent me.

So sorry to hear you're having a problem with your dogs!

Do you have the bag of food, and can you give me the production code and
BB date from the back of the bag, so I can enter it into our system?

Does the food look and smell normal? Were the dogs reluctant to eat
from the bag of food?

I would quit feeding from that bag of food, and go out and buy another
from a different production run. We can refund you for the current bag.

We have no reports of problems with the formula, but we do use natural
preservatives, which can wear out sooner than wanted if the product was
stored anytime post-manufacturing in adverse environmental conditions
(ie high heat causes the fat to go bad).

Puppy formulas should be fine for your dogs, since they are all life
stages foods. They will be higher in fat content than regular foods,
which should pose no problems for smaller dogs.

Let me know, and I'll see if I can help.
