Gosh I would say put a onesie on him, but Then again I never left mine with them on alone!
You really don't want him licking it. But Create or not he can and will if he can reach it.
DO you HAVE to go out? Is there some one who can stay with him? Call the vet and ask if the glued and stitched him or Just stitches. With my male it turned out they did both and he would not have gotten the stitches open even if he tried!!!
