My vet said we should begin worming the puppies at 3 weeks old and then their vaccines at 6 weeks and then start sending them to their new homes around 7 weeks or so. When I said that I intend to keep them until around 12 weeks, he said that is a bad idea because the pups will be more oriented and attached to dogs then to people. I just wondered what everyone thought about this. I know I got both my dogs after 12 weeks and they are both very lovable and attached to our family.
Any advice would be appreciated.
