Hey all.. ok so i took Zima to the vet 2 days ago for his 2nd vacc and to have his ears checked as he was scratching at them a bit... It was as i suspected - EAR MITES! (Eww they are so gross, the vet let us look at them under the microscope!!!) So anyway she gave Zima a shot for parasites to get rid of them, she said that he would need 3 injections in total every 10 days... I have noticed since i bought him home from the vet that his ears STINK! It is such a weird smell i can't even begin to describe it to you... I gave him a bath today for the 1st time as i thought he might just be dirty but it didn't help the smell from his ears AT ALL!!! Do you think it's the ear mites causing this smell? I mean the vet would have noticed an infection surely!? I will take him back tomorrow to have it checked out either way...
