It sounds like she might not have been very socialized with people and new experiences
very much until now
She will likely come around but you'll need to help her come out of her shell
When you bring her to new places or when new people come into the house you'll have to do it slowly
Praise her and give her treats when she doesn't run and hide
and be there for her but don't be the doteing Mom
