I'm sure he'll get better as he adjusts to the new household.
Although some dogs are just nervous by nature. Our Yorkie is fearless but our doberman is a chicken. She's scared of everything from the yoga ball to the broom. She's had tons of socialization since she was a pup. It's just part of her personality.
