Odie wakes very quietly. When I go to him, whether he is on our bed from the night or in his day bed after nap ... he loves to do a little stretch, he yawns then immediately turns on his back and expects a tummy rub! Which of course we do because how can you resist a 10 month old Yorkie wanting some scratchin'. He sometimes gives little gentle bites to our hands and then gets up, shakes and gets his hair back to normal and then I immediately take him out for a pee. That's his routine ...
Oh ... and in the morning after a night's sleep he just lays there until we get up unless he has to go to the bathroom right away. He will usually lick my toe (I always have a foot outside of the blanket) or he stands at the end of the bed and somehow I just wake up knowing he is there. He won't make a peep. He is very patient.
