I totally agree.
He will probably be safer on RC than Nutro.
There are just too many reports of illness and death with that food.
Is he even refusing canned food? Probably not a good idea for anal glands though.
If a hypoallergenic diet is what the vet wants, maybe Science Diet would be slightly better for ingredients? Possibly not though. Unless you want to talk to a nutritionist, if the vet won't work with you on a different food, I would get a second opinion or feed the RC.
I know most of us hate the thought of rx food but there are just sometimes when it is the best opinion, especially if you want to go with kibble. It happens sometimes and you have to do what you have to do.
