My Monty would eat and just didnt gain anything. We got him at 3 months and he weighed 1 lb 12 oz. At his 6 month vet check he weighed 2 lb 3 oz. Not much. The vet was concerned about his weight as well. We tried soft dog food, adding gravy to his dog food. And nothing. So the vet suggested soft cat foot. It is high in protein. He LOVES it!!! In 3 weeks he gained 1 lb and looks great! His coat is healthy now and his activity level has increased drastically. I dont know his weight now but he is in good shape, finally! I swear by the cat food. I use dry dog food still, but twice a day I feed him half a pouch of the cat food.
