If you can find a kind that doesn't bother her stomach, then go for it.
Canned food being bad for teeth is half true and half rumor.
There is some evidence to suggest that tartar builds up faster in dogs who eat canned food. The remedy would be brushing their teeth. Most kibbles don't make a good teeth cleaner. The studies done on this are being questioned anyway. Whatever you feed, her teeth should be brushed.
Ellie ate mostly kibble after puppyhood and ended up with stage 3-4 periodontal disease, so that didn't do her much good.
