I hate prescriptions foods, too. Lady has been diabetic for eight years and I refused from day one to put her on Hills W/D. I swear that's why she's lived so long. All the other dogs on the canine diabetes forum I belong to who were diagnosed at the same time and on prescription diets died years ago.
The primary ingredient in that diet is rice. I don't see any corn. Short term it's probably not going to hurt him, but if he needs a special diet long term I would look into homecooking. |
