Thanks, Lauren.
I was nervous about feeding her any food other than her kibble since I didn't want to totally screw with her digestion on her first day in her new home. I did mix it with some chicken broth to make it softer and tastier, but.... I should have done more.
She is so tiny. I thought for sure she was more like 2 lbs until the vet weighed her yesterday. Granted I still made the choice to take her home after that. The vet appt was before I even purchased her. I just wanted to get her checked out with my own vet. I am so nervous. Her father is 3 lbs and the mother is 4. I would love to have a Yorkie that is more in the 5-6 lb range, but.... I don't know. I just saw Meg and thought she'd be perfect.
Talk about nerve wracking. Now I'm nervous to ever leave the house for more than an hour. What if something happens?! I mean, I suppose she didn't eat for a whole day, so.... presumably she couldn't get to this state in 1 hr. She just seemed so happy on the first day. She slept a lot, but she had energy to play. And she seemed fine with morning. She kept licking all her food (kibble).
It's so scary to think what would have happened if I hadn't rushed her to the vet. Holy crap. I never want this to happen again. I still feel sick to my stomach.
Thanks for all your support, Lauren!
