Everyone is different and I would venture that what we are seeing is that it is not video games alone. Neglect is the largest issue facing children and historically always was. Toss in verbal, emotional and physical violence perpetrated on the child or witnessed by the child (video games, parents, tv etc) and well you get the drift. I pray that the animal. eco and human cruelty stops but until we take better care of children and teach ALL parents about violence and parenting, That simply won't happen. Therefore we need to be dilligent when we see it and call the authorities and whenever possible and safe, intervene to help the victim. This includes supporting rescue organisations and humane breeders. Sorry for the rant, its a bit personal. Warm regards to all. Lina |
This is absolutely right ! I do not even recall GTA having anything like hurting animals? At least not the first one.... ANyway, I too believe that their is a lot more going on here then these little boys. The family , and what is happening directly to those kids at home has a lot to do with their behavior. It is trues that little kids who hurt or kill animals , start fires , and lie are more prone to severe probelms later in life.
Last month we had A 6 yr. old start a fire in his mother's clothes closet in the apts. WEll now these people are getting evicted because of it. THe mother and grandmother are highly abusive, hitting that child every chance they get. Not a big surprise that he is acting out. It is so sad and discusting that children are commiting gross act of violence at younger and younger ages... It is sickning and highly disturbing that nothing can be done about it. I personally blame the parents of these young kids.
