I received a Pedipaw for Christmas, I haven't used it yet but many people here recommended it. My Daisy Mae is used to the dremel because that is what her groomer uses and she doesn't mind it. The Pedipaw also has a guide on it so you just take the tips off. Not too much as to make them bleed.

Just keep trying with your little one. He needs to get used to it eventually. Encourage calmness with treats and have someone help you trim.
