This is so true, I do all Joey's feeding and most of the training and some of the walks, and he's closest to me. When my DIL came over at Christmas, I couldn't believe that Joey sat by her chair, with those little begging eyes. He didn't want food; he wanted her to pick him up! Now she doesn't see him that much, and at first I felt a tiny bit bad, (my first son loves her best too), but she has a way of holding Joey that apparently, he just loves. She crosses her arms and holds him horizontally to her chest, and I don't know if it's hearing her heartbeat or what, but he just loves this, and will fall asleep in her arms. I've tried to duplicate it, but no success so far, and I think he sees me mainly as food mama. So maybe doing something special with him will win him over. Remember, your children or pets can never love too many people; there will always be a special place for you, if you really want one.
