That is awful ! I can understand your anger, and for them not to call and let you know when it happened is unacceptable.

You gave them the benifit of the dout the first time , because as you said ,they may wiggle an a little nick may happen...but a wound that size with stitches ! The groomer was not being careful or focused and was negligent in her care of Dolly.

I also think it was wrong of the vet to stitch her up without atleast trying to reach you. If you couldn't be reached , then yes , go ahead for safety sake...BUT then make sure you know what happened !
