excercise... my puppy loves to run i take him outside and he starts to run in circles for me to chase him is this okay or am i over working him ...

ears his ears are droopy i want them to stand is there anything i can do or will they get up on there own

im sorry but i just wanna be the best momma i can be =) so help all advice is welcome

First get him off the Nutro. That food has been linked to dozens of dog deaths. Some others to try....nature's variety, wellness, taste of the wild, and candiea. Just find a high quality food.

Don't give too many different type treats at this stage. You'll wanna know if any you've given causes a tummy upset. At 14 weeks...I did offer mine bully sticks.

Bathing is something he'll have to get used to...or never will. All of mine are bathed regularly...and my oldest will still shake. She hates the bath. They all hate the blow dryer too. In the winter unless mine get into something or are really dirty...baths are once or twice a month.

Excerise is good for puppy. A tired puppy is a good puppy. You may want to play something other than chase...but only because you are teaching him to run from you. There will come a time...where you want him to come to you instead of running. Until he comes to you readily whenever you call...I wouldn't play chase. Try playing fetch or something along those lines...he still gets to run and will be eager to return to you.

You'll know when he's reached his limit...he'll conk out.

Ears...trim any excess hair from the edge of his ears. Shave a 1/3 of the way down front and back. Sometimes the weight of their hair pulls their ears down.

You didn't ask..but start brushing puppy every day. Get a pin brush and brush while watching tv at night. Puppy fur usually mats easily and you'll want to prevent matting. A badly matted baby will need to be shaved. Brushing him daily gets him used to it...in the beginning he may not be too keen on brushing.

Now is also the time to start trimming nails. Just take a wee bit off the end of his nails. Again...this is a chore you want him to get used to.

Good luck! New puppies are so fun!

Btw, what's puppy's name?
