I joined 12/12/2005 shortly after getting Bubba. I was searching the internet for advice on how to deal with a sick Bubba. When I got him he came with kennel cough (discovered on the way home from getting him) which developed into pneumonia. After many weeks of antibiotics and many tears so afraid he would die that I couln't even work, he finally recovered only to find he has a heart murmur (still does but it's slight now-grade 1 and you'd never know it by the way he is). As he grew he had the usual puppy problems-knots, extra teeth (who knew?), neutering etc. and it was wonderful to have the support and the vast information of this group. By the way, Bubba came from a pet store and is a puppy mill baby, I had no idea that this horror existed till YT. Now that I have a second yorkie, my sweet little (11lbs.) rescue, Sissy I don't feel like such a spaz and can take problems with a little less hysteria (for which, I'm sure my vet thanks you all). When she coughs and makes honking noises I know it's "just her yorkie trachea".
