Well I don't believe that dogs are spiteful, it kind of implies that is she is plotting to get even with you. Dogs live in the moment and they may do what we consider naughty things, but I don't believe it's to get "even."


You used the word potting, and did you mean pouting, I do believe it's possible for a dog to pout, this just means that they want something, food, exercise, or maybe playtime and attention. Joey pouts for more food occasionally, and it's the cutest little face I've ever seen and very hard to resist. When studying dogs facial expressions, scientists have learned that those dogs who looked humans in the eyes and used "cute" expressions, were the most likely to survive, so these traits are passed from one generation to the next. This doesn't mean you are doing anything wrong, and maybe you will learn why she's pouting, but you can't always do something about it.
