My daughter has a deaf Great Dane and she uses hand signals. But she also taught her with the help of her other dogs. She would speak and sign what she wanted and the other dogs would do it so Tantra would see and she would follow along. She is the best dog and does what she is told. Of course you have to get her attention first.
