Our Baby Mia is Deaf and I have been working with her. She is 5 1/2 months old. I teach her with sign language. You have to be patient. It takes time but I wouldn't trade her for anything. I also purchased the book Living with a Deaf Dog by Susan Cope Becker which has helped. I got it on ebay. Mia, comes, sits and stays in sign language. I try to work with her when ZsaZsa and Zoe have gone to bed and its just she and I. Just because they are deaf does not mean they are dumb and your Coco will learn. If I can help let me know.
