My yorkie Milo spends alot of time outdoors playing and camping. This past summer he was bitten by fleas, cuz i didn't know about advantix/frontline. He is my first dog. I decided to shave him and gave him a 15 min bath with water up to his neck. No lie, about 6 fleas floated to the surface.
I took him out, dryed him off and applied a/d ointment to his bites. A little while later i checked on his bites and found 2 fleas stuck to the layer of ointment. i grabbed the fleas with my gf's tweezers and burned them with my lighter. repeat step one till fleas are gone. Now i use advantix. no flea bites. hehe
