I think Paps are beautiful. We almost bought one (from a petstore... i know, i know!) and he was soooo loving, playful, and calm. We were holding him and he'd fall asleep in our arms, but when we took him into the "play room" he was chasing balls and just all over the place having a grand ol' time. Every breed has their bad and good though. I don't think personality is based on breed, but should be based on the dog.
