I'm so sorry for your loss as it wasn't yours or your brother fault.

I would look far and wide before I would get any dog from a granny unless I knew her personally. I'm not going into the details here but one ran an illegal mill about 35 miles from here. Oh my gosh... it was so horrible when they seized the dogs and she fled to CA to live with her very rich son. The local news caught up with her 5 yrs. later backing out of her son's drive and she still didn't feel she had done any wrong. They eventually pd. up and it was in the millions. Makes me so angry.
