I can't wait to hear responses to this thread. We have had

Carter

home for two weeks now and he seems pretty comfortable with everything now. He will do both on the pads when we take him in there, but he doesn't follow "the rules" of when he's supposed to go. haha He will often times go on the pads and then five minutes later go on the carpet. He is very good at going within the 1.2 seconds that we take our eye off of him. Smart little joker... We have recently put up a gate in our living room so that he cannot roam the entire house, but that hasn't really helped yet either. There just doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to his little "schedule", which is the frustrating part. It is very tiring when he's out-and-about because you literally cannot take your eye off of him. He's "always" sniffing, so he really doen't give us any signs. Everything seems fine one minute and then he just stops and goes within literally a half second. You can't get to him fast enough.
We have the laundry room too, but it's out of sight of the living room and office, so he often cries when we put him in there by himself. No big deal with the crying, but he still doesn't go if we're not in there. Hopefully someone has suggestions. We're going to run out of the Simple Solutions soon if something doesn't change.
