Default Re-Potty pad training a dog.

I bred and raised my Teddy. We started potty pad training at 5 weeks as soon as the puppies could walk. So Teddy was 100% potty pad trained. He always went on it, ALWAYS. Now he goes on the pad when he is in our "bye bye room" which is just our tiled laundry room. When we leave the house or need some quiet time we put the dogs in there.

But when he is out in the house (just recently) he decided he would rather go on the carpet. I am not really good with the potty pad training. All my other dogs go outside. But teddy weighs just over 4 lbs and we live in the county with a lot of predators. Hawks, coyotes, feral dogs, etc. It's just not safe for him outside unless i am out with him, watching him. Bridgette cam to us knowing how to do both, outside and potty pad.

Anyway I know he is not marking we actually have our carpet cleaned every two months and it was just done about 3 days ago. I don't really know what I'm doing. When they were babies they were always in a pen with their momma. So their only option was bed, or potty pad. Now he's a part of the family but he is spending most of his time in the bye bye room because of this problem.

I am lost what can I do to reinforce the potty pad training?
