Some Yorkies have Cottony hair that matts easily and some have Silky hair that is easier to comb. Puppy cuts are just easier for some people to care for. I take mine to a groomer and have him clipped to about 2 inches every 8 weeks over the winter. If he seems hot over the summer maybe shorter and every 6 weeks. I want them to leave his hair on top longer so I can put elastics and bows in them. Baron Loves being dressed up...
