Yes, she was a back yard breeder. My kids thought if they brought home a puppy he would make me well. Anyway, Poncho was the last one there, and my husband said there was no way he was leaving without him. I really don't think it would make any difference if Mandy or Princess were'nt pappered. I'd love them just the same. I have heard some people say they must have the papers. Why is that, if your not going to Breed?
Hope you all have a wonderful day!
Having always had dogs of one sort or another, plus my husband being a breeder (beagles), we have always had papers except in the very early days when he did nothing with his dogs except rabbit hunt. Personally, I wouldn't lay out the money that we do on dogs unless they were AKC. Don't ask me why. Also, we won't buy dogs with any other registery except AKC. There is another registery near me which I won't name, that all you have to do is go into the office and tell them what you've got. No proof of anything and they will register it. Those Yorkies are everywhere in Kentucky at about half the price an AKC dog is. My husband said anyone could take a dog in that looks like a beagle but might not be full blooded and get papers on it. I think AKC is far more particular and you can be assurred that you've got what you paid for.
