My best advice is with potty training. When you bring your new pup home do not let its paws touch your floors until it has pottied where you want it to potty in the future. If you plan on training it to go outside...take it outside first, put it down and wait...this may take awhile but eventually it will potty, then use plenty of positive reinforcement...with praise, treats, hugs and kisses. It will then know what to do to get that very same reaction from you in the future...they are smart and want nothing more then to please you...Believe me, this works...Winston was 100% trained to potty outside the very first day. I got this advice from a local dog trainer...I was thrilled with the results and hopefully so will you.
Congratulations on your new puppy...enjoy!!!
