I would say something to your Vet. I am sure the Vet Tech who said it was just not thinking - some people have no filter and forget the old rule of waiting 5 seconds before spewing a dumb remark.
I have had my Yorkie for 4 months and I have had so many silly things said to me about my choice of dog breeds. What people forget is we love our pups and really they aren't a yippy and prissy, they are dogs and like a previous poster said I would never make a rude comment about their choice of a pet.
My neighbor has an Iguana, I am not an Iguana fan but I always inquire about Iggy. Heck I even fed Iggy once while my neighbor was out of town (I was kind of afraid of him).
If you like your Vet, mention it to him and let him tell the Vet Tech to get a filter. I could always borrow Iggy and we could take him in to visit the Vet Tech.
