Oh I realize that all you would need is the registration form and you could fill it out and say whatever and not get caught unless you were inspected.

That was kind of my point...someone did something underhanded and dishonest and it's AKC's fault?

Laughable. So what if they filled it out and sent it in and said, "this is for my pig"--it doesn't mean that their pig is a registered dog, it just means that they lied basically and sent in paperwork as if they had something. Just trying to point out that it's a ridiculous incident to use as your "reason" to "not believe" in the standard. It doesn't even make sense and doesn't hold.
