I put our babies cage on a table right next to the bed. They seem to settle right down if they can see you!

If you can get a blanket or toy with the litter mates smell on it that helps a lot also.

I would not bath your pup for a few days... let them settle in first.

Sadie our puppy threw up a bit at first. She was very scared and needed time to get used to us. She was shy and would hug the wall when she walked... but she warmed up to us by the second night (48 hours) Then she was tearing around like a nut barking and running!!! Give your puppy time.

Have your daughter sit ON THE FLOOR when holding the pup. Puppies fall of couches, chairs, laps. It happens very very fast! Your daughter is young so watch her and make sure she knows the rules! (Make rules)

Make sure you give the puppy lots of sleep time. They need to rest a lot. Short play times are about all they can handle when they are very young.
