Fall. I think Maybelline is trying to be the boss and Gracie is just too old to care. I don't think Maybelline has ever willing turned over on her back unless she was asleep. We will let you know our progress.
UPDATE... I think this may be working. After just a few times of putting Maybelline on her back, she is starting to acknowledge us before playing with Gracie. If she approaches Gracie from the front to play we do not intervene, but if she tries to mount her then we put her on her back. Now she kind of looks at us for our reaction before approaching Gracie so I think Maybelline is getting the idea.
