Yes, you keep her on a leash.
You also can ask a friend if she or he would help you with some training. Keep her on the leash, have a friend come to the door and then restrain her from jumping......(saying down)..... and also praising her for doing so at the same time...... TREATS work well for this!!!! After a few times, you will notice that she is not as excited.... Dogs LOVE to please. You will want to keep a treat jar near the door and continue to do this.......... eventually she will get it! Good Luck!
