Also meant to add that I just went through a similar experience, I have a 7 yr old Yorkie got a 5 month old puppy over Thanksgiving. My older dog adjusted in less than a week because I did the steps I listed in my previous post...sharing good experiences together such as walks and special treats, and the blankets with mixed scents placed in each other's crate or resting place. |
