Smokey talks all the time. He goes through a process when he wants to play. First he throws the toy on your lap and puts his paws on it and waits. He looks at you with those sad puppy eyes. We purposely ignore him sometimes to get him to continue. He then will sit down in front of you, with his tail wagging and give a low growl. He'll growl a few more times, then grab the toy again and throw it in your lap again. THEN if you still ignore him, he'll bark.
