Last night I found a tick on Mia. I think it came up on some fire logs that we had stacked near the woods because we haven't had a problem before. I freaked out! I didn't really know the best way to remove it so I gently just pulled it out with the tweezers. Then I put some antibiotic ointment on it. It was small and no blood in it when I killed it so I don't think it had been there long but it seem to be well attached. Should I call the vet? He has her on revolution which I thought was for flees, ticks and heart worms. She weighs less that 5 lbs and I think that is the reason that is the one he chose. I'm going to ask him to change her but today is a holiday and Mia seems fine I just don't know if I should just keep and eye on her or if she need some sort of emergency treatment before Monday when he gets back in the office.
