BTW ... We have friends who have two big houseboats ... live on one and one for friends ... they were both docked in Slidell. When Katrina hit, the one they called home, fortunately, was at the shipyard safe & sound inside having some hull work done!! Unfortunately, the other one was still there [briefly] and Patrick found some pictures online of the aftermath in Slidell ... they were able to identify their boat on land [very little damage!] and drove down & arranged to move it near .... ta daaaa ....

Haven't heard if Rita did damage, but they are just sweet people that kinda "roll with the punches"!!
Their "home" boat will be moved to the Mississippi coast! They travel like we do so are seldom home ... just hope they don't "forget" where they left it!!
Hopefully, we will get to go down & visit them sometime next summer and if we do, maybe we can finally meet and have a "mini" Yorkie meetup?!
