It might not be popular opinion, but from the bottom of my heart, I thank everyone in the military branches and their family/loved ones for the sacrifices they make both here and abroad.
I enjoy my freedoms - things we take for granted such as being able to discuss opposing opinions on something as seemingly innocent as a Yorkie forum.
As a woman I can have an education, a job, a family and even be able to walk (hey, I can DRIVE if I want!!) down the street and not have to cover my face or worry about accidentally taking a few steps in front of a man...
Believe me when I tell you that some countries - even today - don't allow such freedoms.
I applaud you, your beau, his family and everyone that has the courage to make such huge sacrifices so that I can do as I want and not end up in jail or worse.

I feel the same. I am so proud of him. I have always been around military. My dad was army, and got out when I was born but went into the National Guard and was forced to retire at 20yrs. I always told my parents I was to be with someone in the military and here I am, don't regret it one bit, just hard.
