 Snotty Nose: Baby Booger-Sucker?
Nikko is battling kennel cough with the help of a vicks-filled vaporizer, and I think he's really starting to get a lot better - he's definitely coughing less than he was.
However, his nose now sounds like it's almost totally stopped up - he snores, snorts when he sniffs around or eats or almost any activity, and sprays snot on us when he's excited and giving us kisses. It sounds like if I just used one of those baby booger-sucker thingies on him, he's feel (and sound!) a lot better. I called my vet and asked if there was anything we could do for him, and she actually suggested the booger-sucker tool! She just said to keep it right at the entrance of his nostrils, and be careful to not stick it up in his fragile little teeny nose, just to be safe.
Has anyone ever used a booger-sucker on their dog? Did it work? Do you think it's safe??? I think I'm going to go buy one today and try it, unless some of you guys on here tell me it's a bad idea...
I'm also open to other suggestions on how to help his snotty nose!
