Don't feel like a killjoy- I always take ne down the 26th. After Christmas it's just a symbol of a big chore looming and I want it over.
Plus my birthday is the 29th so even as a chld my mom took it down early so I didn't feel like my birthday was being shared with Christmas. I LOVE havig my house back to normal.
