Well I got that information straight from the PETA website, I wonder if there is any connection?
You are correct that just because the vomit looks like poop, it doesn't indicate they have been eating poop. Most dogs won't vomit the poop.
Vomit that is darker in color often means that it has been in the stomach longer.
